The Think Tank group was composed by participants from 19 COST-countries,namely, Belgium, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom

Aims of the First Think Tank Meeting:

The main aims of the First Think Tank Meeting of the Action were twofold. On one hand, it constituted the focal point of the compilation of inventories of National Election Studies (NES) survey data: young scholars reported on their countries national election study programme and the survey questions that have been asked in the different studies which often dating over back several decades. On the other hand, and equally important, the Think Tank discussed and identified a strategy for data harmonization and integration. This latter objective of the meeting provides the basis for the subsequent data preparation efforts that will be done in the participating countries in the months following the first Think Tank in
Mannheim.
